Transportation Director

As a Transportation Director, you will lead the transport team in developing and implementing transport strategies that align with Council policies and objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and determining transport policy for public transport provision and children's services.
- Leading the strategic and operational management of the passenger transport service, including contract performance management and integrated budget management.
- Monitoring the operation and performance of the Demand Responsive Transport service and local bus services, ensuring compliance with existing transport legislation.
- Preparing the Local Transport Plan, implementation plans, and other associated documents, requiring a thorough knowledge of the existing transport legislation.
- Managing the performance of the Transport Group in delivering the Council's strategic aims and objectives, including staff management, development, and performance reviews.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of parking policy and electric vehicle strategy, contributing to the authority's carbon reduction targets.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential, and a salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum reflects the company's commitment to attracting top talent.
