About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lift Service Engineer to join our team at thyssenkrupp Elevator. As a key member of our London and South division, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our clients' elevators across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing and maintaining customer elevators to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Repairing or replacing elevator parts to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Responding to mechanical failures and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner
  • Carrying out regular safety checks and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Planning and managing workload to ensure efficient allocation of resources and meet customer expectations
  • Maintaining a well-stocked van and ordering supplies through our supply chain to ensure seamless operations
  • Recommending parts and equipment to ensure elevators remain compliant with industry standards
  • Participating in out-of-hours work on a pro rata basis to ensure 24/7 support for our clients

Requirements

  • NVQ3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Hold a full UK Driving License and be able to travel extensively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues
  • The ability to use initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage workload and prioritize tasks
  • Superior customer-care skills to deliver exceptional service and build strong relationships
  • The ability to self-assess and take ownership of personal development to enhance skills and knowledge
  • A strong advocate for Health and Safety regulations in the workplace
