Job Overview

A highly skilled Production Technician is required to join our client, a leading Medtech company. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to take their career to the next level.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or a time served apprenticeship. Experience in a high volume, highly automated manufacturing environment is essential. The successful candidate will have a methodical approach, be organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend to electro-mechanical faults, diagnosing and repairing in a timely manner to keep up with production targets.
• Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbish offline machinery and ancillaries.
• Maintain manufacturing equipment to produce product according to established Quality Control specifications and standards.
• Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and quality system requirements.
• Supervise in-process quality and address issues to prevent product holds.
• Operate equipment and processes in compliance with Quality Control, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Work with Operational, Engineering and Quality Control personnel to promote continuous improvement.
• Install and validate new equipment and technology.
• Participate in team meetings and project teams.
• Enter data on to SAP and perform operational duties.

Requirements

• Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or a time served apprenticeship.
• Experience in a high volume, highly automated manufacturing environment.
