English Language Specialist

An English language specialist is required to teach English at GCSE level in a thriving Ofsted Good school in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be part of a well-established and highly successful English department.
The ideal candidate will have a teaching qualification with QTS, excellent subject knowledge, and the ability to motivate and engage students in their learning. You will also need to have the legal ability to work within the UK.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your career as a specialist English teacher, working closely with a supportive and approachable head of department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students studying English at GCSE level
- Mark and provide feedback on student assignments and assessments
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver curriculum content
The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, with a starting salary around £35,000-£55,000 per annum.
