Job Title: Contracts Supervisor - Highways

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Supervisor to join our team at Tarmac Trading Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of surfacing projects on behalf of Tarmac to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Effective planning, programming, and delivery of surfacing projects
  • Achievement of company and contractual KPIs, with a focus on year-on-year improvement
  • Ensure change controls are diligently managed on contracts and site
  • Manage site teams to ensure career progression and competency is achieved
  • Collaborate with Tarmac's Health, Safety & Wellbeing advisor to promote best practice across all works
  • Ensure all Health and Safety standards are being adhered to across all works
  • Ensure training qualifications and competence requirements are in place and monitored for all employees within their team
  • Ensure any CDM regulations (principle contractor responsibilities) are being adhered to across all works
  • Ensure environmental processes and best practice across the contract
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Essential:
    • Experience working in a similar role within the surfacing industry
    • Knowledge of on-site Health and Safety policies and procedures
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing leadership in the role
    • Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels
    • Computer ability, including Excel and Word
    • Certificate in Site Safety Management
    • Experience in surfacing maintenance at a supervisory level
    • CSCS card and SMSTS certificate
  • Desirable:
    • First Aid training and Mental Health First Aid Training
    • IOSH training
