Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Labyrinth Screening team as a Senior Software Architect. You will be responsible for leading the design and development of Labyrinth Screening and its underlying technology platform.

You will work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation and collaborate with our customers and partners to deliver high-quality software solutions.

As a seasoned technologist with breadth and depth of experience, you will guide engineering teams through uncertainty, unravel complexity, and provide a clear vision for the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the overall architecture and technology roadmap for Labyrinth Screening
  • Lead contributions to product design and development
  • Empower staff and senior engineers to own key elements of the product and architecture
  • Take a leading role in Ripjar's engineering organisation: contributing to standards, design patterns, and technology approaches across technical teams
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong all-round technical ability with a demonstrable working knowledge of building, implementing, and maintaining complex Cloud/Hybrid/On-Premise systems
  • A strong engineering background and a natural technical leader with at least 10 years' experience building software
  • Industry expertise in financial crime compliance, preferably in the development of high-performance name screening solutions
  • Experience designing distributed data-intensive systems
  • The ability to quickly comprehend complex scenarios, unravel uncertainty, and articulate the architecture of complex systems
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and visual – to convey complex ideas to any audience
