Clinical Communication Specialist

The Priory Group is seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their expanding team at Mildmay Oaks Hospital. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing communication needs, implementing and developing SLT programs, and working closely with clients to maximize their potential.
Key responsibilities include promoting effective functional communication, social skills development, and collaborative working within a total communication environment. You will also work alongside Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Nursing, and Psychiatry teams to develop MDT therapeutic interventions and Care Plans.
To succeed in this role, you will need a HCPC-approved Degree or Masters in Speech and Language Therapy, registration with HCPC and RCSLT, and experience in working with client populations presenting with Autism (ASD), Learning Disabilities, complex needs, and challenging behavior. Dysphagia management experience is also desirable.
A competitive salary of £41,206.92 per annum is offered, along with 33 days annual leave, robust hospital induction, and pension contributions. The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, communicate effectively, and have excellent time management skills.
