SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN teaching assistant to join our team at a lovely special school in Cheltenham. As a teaching assistant, you will provide support to teachers in subjects such as maths, literacy, science, and PSHE, without any planning or marking responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer support to teachers in lessons
  • Set up activities and prepare materials
  • Assist with student interventions and behaviour management
  • Develop positive relationships with students and staff
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of SEN, including autism and social emotional and mental health
  • Ability to work with students with challenging behaviour
  • Full enhanced DBS on the updated service
