About the Role

As a Procurement Manager at Jacobs, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that ensure best value contracts are introduced and managed effectively with high-performing supply chain partners. You will leverage your passion and experience to conduct and coordinate procurement transactions associated with purchasing materials/equipment and/or subcontracting of services as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enact the procurement strategy, ensuring best value contracts are introduced and appropriately managed with high-performing supply chain partners.
  • Conduct and coordinate procurement transactions associated with purchasing materials/equipment and/or subcontracting of services as required.
  • Develop a close working relationship with the project and framework teams and clients' representatives.
  • Demonstrate suitable technical qualities for the role.
  • Engage on multiple projects from tender preparation and negotiation right through to delivery and completion.

Requirements
  • Degree in a business, construction, supply chain, or operations management field, or equivalent project experience in lieu of degree.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body, for example MCIPS or MRICS.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK Gov Public Procurement Policy.
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and practices related to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, preferably NEC and experience of working with bespoke forms of contract.
  • Strong and successful track record in leading and execution of projects within defence, energy, or construction environment.
  • Security Cleared or the ability to obtain the required level of clearance.
