Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to lead our product development, product support, and regulatory management efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, managing customer queries, and driving the development of new products that meet our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Management
- Ensure that all products comply with relevant regulations, including CLP, REACH, Cosmetics Regulation, and Detergents Regulation.
- Manage customer queries and provide technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Review the regulatory horizon to identify upcoming risks and ensure future compliance.
- New Product Development
- Work with customers to develop new products that meet their needs and requirements.
- Manage and improve the NPI (New Product Introduction) process to ensure timely and cost-effective product launches.
- Existing Product Support
- Refine existing products to ensure they meet changing customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Review options to reformulate products as regulations or raw material availabilities change.
- Line Management
- Lead a team of development chemists and the QC Lab team to ensure effective product development and quality control.
- Production Support
- Work with the operations team to react to production challenges and ensure smooth production processes.
- Raw Material Management
- Manage and refine the management of raw material data to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Support the Procurement Manager in introducing new materials and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Label Compliance
- Manage artwork review to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and labeling requirements.
- COSHH
- Work with the SHEQ Manager to ensure appropriate documentation to support all chemicals handled on site.
- Customer Interaction
- Join the sales team to support new and existing business and provide technical support to customers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in chemistry and experience in a technical management role. You will also need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
