Job Summary: MFL Teacher Position

Location: Tameside

The salary range for this position is approximately £162-£251 per day, based on experience.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified MFL teacher to join our team at a well-established secondary school in Tameside. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both French and Spanish, with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4 students and potentially extend to KS5.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons that enhance language acquisition and cultural awareness, supporting students with their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in both languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching French and Spanish to KS3 and KS4 students, with potential extension to KS5
  2. Developing and delivering engaging lessons to enhance language acquisition and cultural awareness
  3. Supporting students with their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in both languages
  4. Preparing students for GCSE exams and offering targeted support to improve student performance
  5. Encouraging a love of languages and promoting cross-cultural understanding

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in MFL, with expertise in both French and Spanish
  • Strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching languages
  • The ability to motivate students to achieve their potential in language learning
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-level exams is desirable
