We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our award-winning Energy team at J. Murphy & Sons Ltd. As a key member of our project team, you will play a crucial role in the commercial management of our projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality results while maintaining a strong focus on cost control and risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Commercially manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and that the project is delivered within budget and on schedule.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to minimize risk and maximize value for the company.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that commercial and technical aspects of the project are aligned and integrated.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring that the company's interests are protected and that potential opportunities are maximized.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that commercial and contractual obligations are met and that the company's reputation is maintained.
- Chartered Quantity Surveyor (RICS or equivalent) with a strong background in commercial management and project control.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering commercial results and managing complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
- Proficient in commercial software and systems, including project management tools and financial reporting systems.
