About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team in the Social Security Programme Division. As a key member of our programme management and delivery division, you will play a crucial role in leading small to medium-sized projects and supporting larger and more complex projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage stakeholder relationships and work independently to advance the BA community through sharing of best practice and mentoring others.
- Apply a range of analysis techniques to analyse the current state, as is, people, processes and technology in customer organisations.
- Plan, conduct and analyse a wide range of data and process models.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in technical and business environments.
- Organising, leading, and facilitating workshops with stakeholders and users.
- Support the identification and analysis of options to deliver enhanced outcomes for citizens and organisations.
- Creation and development of business analysis products in accordance with project requirements.
- Developing user stories, ensuring acceptance criteria is consistent.
- Experience of working with training teams.
- Build a culture of continuous delivery and improvement, ensuring that key processes are regularly analysed, maintained and improved.
- Explain, and be a persuasive advocate for the value of user needs within the wider Scottish Government.
- Working with SME's to develop appropriate Knowledge Management material.
- Identifying and creating scenarios for testing, working with testing teams in planning testing activities.

The Social Security Scotland Programme Directorate has been created to design and implement devolved benefits for Scotland, enabling the delivery of 16.5 million payments per year, to an estimated two million people.
