Medical Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to adult inmates in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to adult inmates, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Administer medications, perform sick call screenings, and provide patient education.
- Document all pertinent information into the health record, maintaining confidentiality and interfacing with other departments as needed.
- Delegate tasks and workload, working hours, days, and locations as assigned.
- Provide coverage as needed to meet institutional needs.
- Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted Virginia RN license.
- Hold current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers, through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience in a correctional setting is preferred.
