Job Description

The Digital Marketing Privacy Operations Manager is a critical role that plays a key part in Diageo's approach to consumer data privacy. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of Diageo's data privacy programme, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations, and monitoring and reporting on data privacy risks and incidents.

This role will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Digital Marketing Data Privacy Legal Counsel, the Digital Marketing Data Steward, and other members of the Data Privacy team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape their role within this function and contribute to Diageo's data-driven strategy and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement data privacy operational activities, such as data subject rights requests, data breach notifications, and data protection impact assessments.
  • Monitor and report on data privacy compliance metrics and key performance indicators, identifying and escalating any gaps or risks.
  • Manage and update data privacy documentation, including data inventories, data flow maps, and data retention schedules.
  • Collaborate with data owners and custodians to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across Diageo's data holdings.

  • A solid understanding of data privacy best practices and emerging trends in the digital and data landscape.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to provide clear and practical guidance and deliver training and awareness sessions on data privacy topics.
