Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Wellesley Hospital. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership and expertise to our occupational therapy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff, including support staff and assistants.
  • Ensure the delivery of occupational therapy student placements.
  • Support the completion of appraisals and personal development plans with junior staff.
  • Develop and implement appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways.

Requirements:

  • Occupational Therapy profession qualification.
  • UK HCPC Registration.
  • Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs.
  • Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches.
  • Demonstrates evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills.
  • Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.
  • Knowledge of how to work with neurodiverse individuals.

We work alongside Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Avon and Wiltshire Foundation Trust, Cornwall Foundation Trust, 2gether Foundation Trust, Cygnet Healthcare, and Livewell to deliver the best possible environment for patients with mental health issues.
