Social Work Team Lead

As a Team Manager with the London Borough of Croydon, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of social workers in the Family Assessment Service. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Team Manager to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day operations of the Family Assessment Team, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our clients. You will be accountable to the Service Manager and Head of Service for the performance of your team.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the team's duty system to ensure effective allocation of tasks and resources
- Lead and manage performance of the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and reflection of practice
- Develop and implement plans to improve social work practice at an operational level
- Collaborate with senior managers to achieve service delivery goals and objectives
- Qualified Social Worker with experience in managing childcare social workers
- Proven track record of leading improvement in social work practice at an operational level
- Ability to lead and manage in an operational area dealing with high risk and high complexity
