Behaviour Support Assistant Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team in Sheffield. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students in the classroom environment, assisting them according to the curriculum and syllabus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in line with the school's curriculum and syllabus.
  • Support students to achieve their academic goals.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural challenges.
  • Help prepare and adapt lessons for students who require additional assistance.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Education.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in a behaviour support role.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
  • Ability to connect with students and promote a positive learning experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
