About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Commercial team at A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our company, working on a wide range of civil engineering projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the tendering process, including booking in tenders and logging into our shared tender list system.
  • Make initial contact with clients to confirm accept or decline of tender.
  • Obtain quotes for all predicted requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Assist in producing take-offs and cost databases for analysis by others.
  • Calculate the cost of materials, transport, labour, and plant hire.
  • Understand and clarify client requirements, offering value engineering for discussion with the management team.
  • Undergo regular site visits to understand the process, timings, and sciences of estimating.
  • Chase and follow up previously submitted tenders, ensuring clients have a fully comprehensive analysis.
  • Assess and adhere to all risk assessments and health and safety requirements.
  • Keep up to date with inflation and projected timescale costs.
  • Present bids to clients and answer questions.
About You

You will be an experienced Estimator who has worked on civil engineering schemes. You will have a strong understanding of the commercial aspects of measurement, bills, and rate presentation. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
