Building Safety Specialist

Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Advisor to join their team in the northern operations, covering the Midlands to Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading and award-winning safety-first Civil Engineering and Tunnelling company.
Key Responsibilities:- Aid project management teams in maintaining the highest Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across all projects.
- Take ownership of SHEQ Policy, Accident and Incident reporting, COSHH Procedures, Site preparation for new projects, CDM procedures and implementation, and Coordinate toolbox talks and produce flash safety reports.
- Develop and implement training programs for employees.
- Monitor and improve client satisfaction.
- Prepare management reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain Environmental Management Policy and Procedures.
- Develop and maintain Human Resource Management Policy and Procedures.
- Maintain the Safety Office and ensure all necessary equipment is in good working order.
- Desirable HND in Civil Engineering or Construction.
- Minimum of a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Experience in the tunnelling and mining industry is highly beneficial.
- Experience in a Quality Control role on a major project.
- Proficiency in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience with lifting equipment.
- A hands-on Advisor who is comfortable on site liaising with main contractors as well as site staff.
- Salary: up to £60k.
- Discretionary company bonus.
- Death in Service 4 x salary.
