About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Partnerships Manager to join our team at Collinson. As a key member of our Retail Partnerships team, you will be responsible for developing and managing markets to recruit, manage, and maximize merchandising opportunities for our SmartEarn platform.

You will work closely with key e-commerce retailers in each core market, ensuring the ongoing merchant strategy execution across the UK and Ireland. This role requires a strategic and proactive e-commerce operator with the ability to be both merchant and client-facing to a senior level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading all conversations with our Tier 1 Retailers in the UK and Ireland
  • Leading the Retailer Partnerships team on the delivery of all merchant and client-led campaigns
  • Team leader for our key clients in the UK and Ireland
  • Lead the sourcing and negotiating of commercial packages with UK and Ireland retailers to align with agreed calendars, ensuring campaigns are developed to meet objectives and provide maximum value for money
  • Supporting the Retail Partnerships Director with planning
  • Developing and building client relationships with relevant teams to provide market insight, performance analysis, and recommendations for future activity
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of our strategic plan to engage retailers in the UK and Ireland, optimizing a mix of retailers to deliver against the strategic and commercial requirements of our client programmes and campaigns
  • Executing and supporting the planning of retail and client campaign calendars, using knowledge and experience along with performance data, retailer insights, and seasonality
  • Acquiring and maintaining a network of e-commerce retailers for the UK and Ireland markets via local affiliate networks and some direct partnerships
  • Working with the wider Retail Partnerships team to manage retailers and ensure objectives and calendars are aligned and content is delivered to the highest standard possible
  • Managing and supporting retailer content, including sourcing imagery and copy from retailers, editing where necessary, and managing merchant approvals
  • Managing and supporting promotional content and setting up campaigns using product CMS/admin tools to agreed campaign timings (non-technical)
  • Producing regular performance reports and case studies for senior managers, clients, and retailers with clear insight and recommendations for future optimization
  • Supporting operational and support enquiries directly or via clients through to the global operational team, ensuring key issues are identified, prioritized, and escalated where necessary
  • Playing a key role in supporting overall global merchant development approach, inputting to the team, and ensuring alignment with local market conditions and opportunities
  • When required, deputizing for other parts of the Retail Partners team to support retailers' requirements and deliver client campaigns
  • Identifying and supporting opportunities for Card Linked partnerships through Retailer and Network relationships to assist in the continued expansion of this channel and proposition

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working with retailers within an affiliate marketing model
  • Experience of working with financial reporting processes, including invoicing/IOs
  • Demonstrable client-facing experience essential
  • Commercially oriented with the ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Ability to showcase experience of content management and campaign creation
  • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a customer-oriented approach are very important
  • Technically literate, although deep technical expertise not required
