Ranger Conservationist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ranger to join our team at the National Trust. As a champion of nature conservation and the great outdoors, you will play a crucial role in protecting and preserving our beautiful countryside and coast for future generations.

• Protect and care for habitats, wildlife, buildings, and machinery
• Pass on knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage others to love and respect the natural environment
• Build relationships with local communities and represent the National Trust in a positive and professional manner
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and risk management procedures
• Lead groups of volunteers and work with regular ranger/countryside volunteers

• Practical experience in conservation work, including habitat management and wildlife conservation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work safely and use risk assessments and guidelines
• Experience in managing land, access, and conservation, and working outdoors
• Ability to use machinery and equipment, with relevant certificates
• Full UK driving licence
