Software Implementation Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Specialist to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our supported schools and academies across Leicestershire and surrounding counties.
Your primary focus will be on supporting the delivery of Access Budgets and accredited school-supported FAS and MIS systems to LA maintained and academy schools. You will work closely with our LEAMIS Software Specialist, Servicedesk, and Schools Financial Advisers to ensure seamless service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of schools FAS and MIS systems, with hands-on experience of delivering services to schools. You will be an innovative and dynamic individual who can work effectively across teams and independently to contribute to the growth and development of our services.
Main Responsibilities
- Support and promote the delivery of Access Budgets
- Support and promote the delivery of accredited school-supported FAS and MIS systems to LA maintained and academy schools
- Support LEAMIS Software Specialist, Servicedesk, and Schools Financial Advisers
- Review and make recommendations for new service offerings under the guidance of the Head of Professional & Business Services and Senior Software Business Specialist
- Evaluate and improve service delivery to meet agreed SLAs in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
- Develop and deliver MIS/FAS services using a variety of techniques, including formal presentations, training delivery, webinars, onsite training, and remote sessions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or achieved proficiency in SFIA skills at Level 2
- Excellent customer care skills with demonstrable experience of engaging customers on a daily basis
- Practical experience of Microsoft Office suite and operating platforms
- Ability to present clearly and effectively to a range of audiences
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines
- Ability to provide clear, accurate, concise written documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members to achieve agreed objectives
