About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Semih Support Specialist to join our team in Loughton. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Support: Provide academic and emotional support to students facing SEMH challenges, promoting their educational and personal growth.
  • Plan Effective Lessons: Create bespoke individualized learning packages, taking into account students' needs and learning styles.
  • Foster a Positive Environment: Establish a supportive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages emotional well-being and positive behavior.
  • Engage Students: Help students participate actively in the learning process, ensuring their engagement and motivation.
  • Provide Feedback: Offer regular feedback on student progress through our online platform, LEAP.
What We Look for in Our Educators
  • Passion for SEMH: A genuine enthusiasm for supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with students.
  • Experience Working with SEMH Needs: Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs, either in a tutoring, teaching, or support role.
  • Education Qualifications: Relevant experience or qualifications in education are highly desirable, although QTS is not essential.
  • Understanding of SEMH Challenges: An understanding of SEMH challenges and knowledge of strategies to support students with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
