We're a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK, with a purpose to make every day better for our customers and stakeholders. Our company culture is vibrant and fast-paced, with a team of around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots across the UK.
We supply all the UK's food retailers with a wide range of products, from sandwiches and soups to cooking sauces and ready meals. In FY23, we generated revenues of £1.9bn, with a direct-to-store distribution network that enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.
At our Selby site, we employ a team of over 750 colleagues, producing more than 160 million units per year across 600 different product lines for customers such as Morrisons, Tesco & Asda.
What You'll Be DoingAs an experienced electrical maintenance engineer from an FMCG/Food background, you will be responsible for carrying out fault finding, problem solving and planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
You will respond to internal customer needs to maximise production time according to given priorities, comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely, and complete all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready.
You will also identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness, and perform maintenance on a range of manufacturing/production/packaging machinery.
What We're Looking ForWe're looking for an apprentice-trained engineer with a formal electrical engineering qualification (minimum Level 3 NVQ/C&G) and experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing/FMCG.
You should have knowledge of both mechanical and electrical maintenance, a proactive approach, and a willingness to learn and develop.
You should also have experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding, and be able to utilise a proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
