About the Role
University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279) is seeking a skilled Practice Development Nurse to lead the development of education programmes for Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs). This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact on the care and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and facilitation of clinical skills teaching requirements for the HCSW Induction Programme.
- Manage, facilitate, and support the recruitment and induction processes of HCSWs new to the Trust.
- Provide clinical expertise and support to all HCSWs in practice.
- Monitor and ensure all Trust HCSWs successfully complete the mandatory National Care Certificate standards.
Person Specification
- First-level registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (UK).
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Practice Assessor or equivalent.
- Experience of teaching and assessing learners (face-to-face, blended, e-learning).
- Experience of working in a role developing practice.
