Financial Accountant

Robertson Bell is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their finance team and contribute to the effective financial management of their institution. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a finance role, gained exposure to end-to-end audit and the production of statutory accounts, ideally within the education sector. They will possess an in-depth understanding of financial accounting and have an understanding of financial compliance.
Key responsibilities will include collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, assisting in the implementation and improvement of initial systems and processes to drive efficiencies across the organisation, and providing support during audits and liaising with auditors as required.
The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software's, and will have a strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data by meticulously reconciling the balance sheet accounts, identifying discrepancies, and resolving them promptly.
