Job Summary:
Sanderson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Manager to join our team. As a Senior Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing the tender process for capital projects, procuring essential work scopes, and developing procurement and commercial strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Commercial Management: Manage the tender process for capital projects from issue of invitation to tender through to contract award and subsequent commercial management of the delivery phase.
- Procurement: Procure essential work scopes at the lowest cost of ownership and in accordance with the principle of efficiency and best value.
- Strategic Development: Develop procurement and commercial strategies in line with the Capital Projects Governance requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrate stakeholder engagement and management skills, including the ability to influence, lead, and resolve disputes.
- Cost Management: Manage cost and forecast management via regular cost reporting and ensure change management procedures are adhered to.
- Post-Contract Management: Provide robust post-contract commercial management to support project goals and objectives.
- Safety Management: Comply with all safety policies and procedures and promote safety and safe working practices.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification and professional membership of a relevant professional body.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the Utilities Contract Regulations 2016 and commercial governance arrangements for large capital projects.
- Commercial Experience: Experience of estimating, sourcing management, cost and budget management, and contract administration.
- Contract Knowledge: Knowledge of Standard Form construction contracts and bespoke contract arrangements, including NEC/FIDIC Contracts.
