Salary and Job Description

Estimated Salary: £18,720 - £21,576 per annum (dependent on experience)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Wexham Park Hospital. As a key member of the physiotherapy department, you will work closely with experienced therapists to deliver high-quality care to patients across various departments.

Your main duties will include providing general support to the physiotherapy team, assisting with patient care, and participating in rehabilitation programs. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring the safe use of equipment.

About the Role

  • Provide general assistance to the therapist within the area of work
  • Assist in the running of the hydrotherapy service under supervision
  • Assist patients with personal care, including toileting and dressing
  • Take patient information handover on the ward from nursing staff when deemed competent
  • Participate in rehabilitation staff meetings, teaching sessions, and training programs
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of the UK healthcare environment
  • Ability to think logically and problem-solve
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Previous experience working as a physiotherapy assistant or CSP associate member
  • Knowledge of medical conditions and electronic patient appointment systems such as iPM
