Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a major residential development in South London.

Responsibilities
  1. Project Coordination:
    Oversee daily site operations, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and timelines. Coordinate with project management and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and optimize construction methods.
  2. Quality Assurance:
    Implement and enforce quality standards, conducting regular inspections to maintain high levels of workmanship. Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
    Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, company policies, and best practices. Conduct regular site safety meetings and enforce safety protocols, performing risk assessments as needed.
  4. Stakeholder Relations:
    Act as the main point of contact on-site for clients, contractors, and local authorities. Attend client and subcontractor meetings, providing updates on project progress and addressing concerns.
  5. Budget and Resource Management:
    Monitor project budgets, ensuring efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment. Report on material, labor, and equipment costs to project managers and assist with budgeting adjustments as necessary.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain detailed records, including daily reports, health and safety logs, quality checklists, and incident reports. Update project management systems and report on progress, identifying potential risks or delays.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in site management, preferably on large-scale residential projects.
  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
  • Proficiency with project management software and familiarity with construction methods, health and safety protocols, and quality management systems.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, capable of motivating and managing site teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and site personnel.
