About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Positive Behaviour Support Worker to join our team in Herne Bay, Kent. As a Senior Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex health needs and behaviours that may challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with complex health needs and behaviours that may challenge.
- Ensure good working practice, including understanding and awareness of health and safety.
- Promote independence and develop life skills, while helping with all tasks necessary to ensure positive life experiences.
- Work positively with other agencies, parents, carers, and other services to ensure a person-centred approach.
- Contribute to the development of records and support plans and become a keyworker when needed.
- Support and maintain a clean-living environment catered to individual needs.
- Participate in regular and ongoing training relevant to the individual's needs.
Requirements
- QCF in Health & Social Care level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with a willingness to undertake a level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Reasonable knowledge of regulatory standards for supported/residential living.
- Experience of supporting individuals with complex health needs and behaviours that may challenge.
- Ability to lead by example, being professional, patient, and calm under pressure.
- Strong team player with the ability to supervise daily outputs and assist the deputy manager in managing staff performance, development, and appraisals.
