Primary Special Needs Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking qualified teaching assistants from art, music or performing arts backgrounds to join our primary special needs school in Croydon. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to deliver engaging lessons and help them access the curriculum.

About the Role:
  • This is a permanent position (Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 16:15)
  • Located in Croydon, working in a well-established primary special needs school
  • You will be working closely with teachers and students to deliver lessons and activities
  • Teaching vocabulary and numeracy in a creative way is essential to student success
  • You will assist teachers in lessons such as sensory play, music, art, and cooking
  • Following individualized plans and helping students reach their targets is crucial
Your Skills and Qualities:
  • You must have creativity and ability to apply skills that enable students to understand tasks in a clearer approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
  • A calm and consistent approach is necessary
  • You must have a supportive and encouraging manner with learners
