About the Role

As a Senior Programme Manager with Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will play a critical role in driving business growth and operational efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in programme management, strategic thinking, and leadership to make a significant impact on our transport operations.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced programme manager to join our Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic programmes to improve our transportation processes and drive operational excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programme management, with experience owning strategy development, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership. They will also possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to determine and drive improvements. A degree is required, and advanced or master's degrees are preferred. Relevant project-management qualifications, such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar, are also beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in our organisation
  • Take a big-picture approach in your analysis of business operations, driving improvements across a range of teams and organisations
  • Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritise improvement programmes, seeing them through from start to finish
  • Enhance operational performance on every programme in partnership with your stakeholders
  • Find practical and simple solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality
  • Responsible for setting priorities, anticipating risks, and resolving/escalating issues that might impact project timelines
A Day in the Life

As a Senior Programme Manager with ATS, you will spend your days driving and managing the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon. You will lead improvement projects and programmes, using strategic thinking to define and implement efficient project plans. Some managers are based on-site, while others work remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks.

Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, engineering, or computer science
  • Experience owning programme strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Relevant experience leading complex projects with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
  • Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
