Job Description

**Job Title:** Finance and Public Value Apprentice

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Contract Type:** Fixed-term contract for 20 months

**Hours:** 37 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Finance and Public Value team as a Finance Apprentice. As a Finance Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of teams within Devon Finance Services, gaining valuable experience and skills in financial services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Work towards achieving a qualification in Business Administration (Level 3) or AAT Accounting Technician (Level 3)
  • Rotate around 3 different departments within Finance and Public Value to gain experience in different areas
  • Network and communicate with other apprentices and team members
  • Provide excellent service to the people of Devon and understand the importance of this
  • Be dedicated to achieving their qualification through their apprenticeship study and placements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Keen and enthusiastic to learn and motivated to succeed
  • Interest in learning more about a range of finance services within Local Government and how it might meet your future career aspirations
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills (Both written and verbal)
  • Minimum qualifications of grade C (4) GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
What We Offer

We offer a highly competitive starting salary of £22,737 - £23,114 per annum, 26 days holiday, flexible working arrangements, training and entry into a pension scheme.
