We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical and electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and diagnose complex faults in mechanical and electrical equipment, and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical advice and support to colleagues, and participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the effective maintenance and repair of our equipment, and contribute to the development of best practices and procedures.
- Participate in a standby rota, providing emergency support and maintenance services as required.
- Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems, or equivalent qualifications and experience in mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues, and a commitment to working safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driving license and ability to use company vehicles.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
