Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at Austin Fraser in the Maldon area. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best value for our business.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective supplier management strategies to maintain high-quality products and services.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors to secure long-term partnerships and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, fluctuations in demand, and supplier performance.
- Conduct initial supplier appraisal activities to assess their capabilities and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise closely with the Quality and Supply Chain teams to resolve supplier quality issues promptly.
- Previous experience in purchasing and procurement is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management software is required.
- Experience in highly regulated purchasing systems and a manufacturing or medical industry background are desirable.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We offer a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including 20-25 days' holiday, auto-enrolment pension, and a 10% bonus scheme based on company and personal objectives.
