Retail Logistics Coordinator

As a Retail Van Driver at the British Red Cross, you will play a vital role in managing stock logistics and promoting the charity. You will be responsible for delivering, collecting, and transferring stock to and from our shops, ensuring that our stores are well-stocked and our customers have access to the products they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage deliveries, collections, and stock transfers, including handling house clearances and picking up donations from corporate partners.
- Collect stock from various warehouses across the country and ensure it gets distributed to our shops.
- Keep the vehicle safe and sound, including regular servicing and safety checks.
- Handle the removal and proper disposal of any unwanted items in a cost-effective manner.
- Manage health and safety issues, following procedures and complying with national instructions, policies, procedures, and legislation.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and knowledge of current laws and best practices for driving, vehicles, and road traffic operations.
- A proven ability to provide excellent customer care and ensure a positive experience for all.
- Previous experience in van driving, deliveries, basic vehicle maintenance, and handling administrative paperwork.
- Retail experience and a successful track record of working effectively as part of a team would be desirable.
- Strong communication skills, embracing and leading change, taking ownership of resources, finding creative solutions, and prioritizing personal and professional growth.
