As a Strategic Underwriting Expert, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and evaluating complex marine risks, managing portfolios, and driving underwriting results. This is a home-based position requiring monthly travel to our Brighton office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To underwrite and administer marine risks within Delegated Underwriting Authority limits, issuing accurate compliant documentation on behalf of Insurers.
  • To demonstrate proactive follow-up of underwritten risks, maximising investment of time.
  • To collaborate with brokers and clients to gather necessary information, providing risk evaluation.
  • To achieve personal financial targets and contribute to business goals.
  • To maintain a high quality of underwriting through quality monitoring.

Requirements:

  • A working knowledge of legal and regulatory Insurance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
