An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated Senior Midwife to join the Women's Health Maternity ward at Whittington Health Trust.

The post holder will provide total midwifery care for both high and low risk mothers under the direction of the Midwifery Team Leader (MTL).

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is £38,890 - £44,884 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of maternity care over a 24-hour period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Registered Midwife currently registered to practice
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as RM
  • Mentorship and assessing or equivalent
  • Must be able to practice in all areas in accordance with the Midwives rules and code of conduct

The post holder will work autonomously in the acute and primary care setting, prioritizing workload appropriately and dealing with challenging behavior and circumstances.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have advanced clinical skills including suturing, cannulation, maternal and neonatal resuscitation; PPH, shoulder dystocia, eclamptic fits.
