Job Summary

The Principal Accountant will play a crucial role in the Cathedral's finance team, supporting the implementation of a new Finance Management System that will enhance financial reporting, streamline processes, and provide real-time data for informed decision-making.

This position will involve reviewing manual processes, driving change, and improving efficiency, as well as assisting the IT Manager in developing a data strategy to ensure data quality and reliability.

The Principal Accountant will also support the Director of Finance in delivering the finance department's functions, including annual accounts, management reporting, job and project costing, forecasting, and ensuring strong internal controls.
