Director of Finance

This is a newly created role within a rapidly expanding services business that trades across multiple continents.

The successful candidate will have the freedom to design and build financial systems, processes, and recruit and develop a small finance team. The role encompasses both operational and strategic responsibilities, working closely with the CEO and a highly experienced management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the current financial health of the business and future financial strategy
  • Production of regular management information for senior management team presentation
  • Reporting of statutory accounts
  • Working on business strategy and financial support with the CFO and external stakeholders
  • Developing digital systems and processes for future growth
  • Assuming lead role in costing and forecasting for all entities of the business and future projects
  • Cashflow management and budget setting
  • Building relationships with external stakeholders, customers, and suppliers
  • Project and materials costing analysis and planning
  • Overseeing payroll for a growing headcount of colleagues
  • Preparing for annual audit with external accountants

This opportunity calls for an experienced finance leader with a background in commercial services or manufacturing. The successful candidate will be a professionally qualified individual (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), probably possessing upwards of 5 years PQE, and with the ability to lead and develop a team.

  • Professionally qualified individual (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Upwards of 5 years PQE
  • Able to lead and develop a team
  • Good understanding of audit policies and statutory accounting
  • Multicurrency income stream experience advantageous
  • Strong people management skills and effective communication across departments

Estimated Salary: £80,000 per annum based on location and industry standards.
