Accountant Assistant

Your new company, Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited, is a well-established regional professional services firm based in Huddersfield. With over 135 years of experience, they offer a range of services including chartered accountancy, business and tax advisory services, and registered auditing.

Your New Role
  • Prepare financial statements for a portfolio of clients, including Limited companies, sole traders, or partnerships.
  • Compute and prepare CT computations for Limited Companies.
  • Prepare basic Self Assessment Tax returns.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients as the primary contact for their portfolio.
  • Prepare periodic bookkeeping and management accounts.
  • Train and mentor trainee staff members.
Requirements
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Knowledge of CCH suite (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Sage/Xero/QBO.
  • Experience of meeting regular filing deadlines.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
  • Study packages are available and further study options would be considered if required.
