We are seeking an experienced Security & Performance Engineer to join our dynamic IT team at D Cymru Welsh Water. As a key member of our Security Operations team, this role will drive the development of security configurations for micro services, serverless computing, and software as a service Security solutions.


This role will work closely with our Security Engineers to ensure the implementation of robust security controls across our IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting IT/Security infrastructure and be able to pick up and learn new technology approaches quickly.


This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 1 day a week in our Cardiff / Newport office required. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of employee benefits and rewards, including variable pay schemes, enhanced employer pension contributions, and progression opportunities.

About the Role

  • Develop security configurations for micro services, serverless computing, and software as a service Security solutions

  • Collaborate with IT & OT Engineers, IT & OT Architects, and Project & Programme Managers to ensure effective security posture

Requirements

  • Proven experience of supporting IT/Security infrastructure
  • Ability to pick up and learn new technology approaches quickly
  • Strong understanding of security controls and risk management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
