Client Transport Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Transport and Regulatory Services team. As a Client Transport Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering complex projects and change initiatives that support the delivery of our statutory duty to provide transport assistance for children and young people who are eligible to receive it.
You will lead project research and analysis, develop solutions to support our statutory duty, and manage and develop project timelines, Board reports, corporate governance, and project progress to ensure delivery. You will also provide expert advice, guidance, support, and challenge to project and programme practitioners/professionals, and to customers and stakeholders.
About the TeamYou will be joining our busy and friendly team, supporting the ambitious and wide-ranging Home to School Transport programme. Our team works across the county to deliver a number of key customer-facing services that our residents, businesses, and visitors rely on every day.
- Collecting and disposing of waste and recycling
- Maintaining our roads and Rights of Way network and parking
- Ensuring the delivery of school transport, and supporting sustainable travel, including public bus services and School Crossing Patrollers
- Managing Country Parks
- Leisure facilities, museums, theatres, and libraries, as well as developing our Cultural Strategy
- Licensing, cemeteries, and crematoria

About YouWe're looking for a qualified and experienced project manager who can make great things happen. You'll be leading and managing multiple complex projects and change initiatives that span across council service areas using your skills and experience in project management and business analysis.
You'll have expert knowledge of project management, improvement methodologies, systems, policies, and regulations, and you'll know how to apply them in a local government setting.
The team works flexibly with a minimum of 40% in the office; more as required depending on business needs (including team building/management requirements).
