Job Summary

MITRE is seeking a Division Chief Engineer to lead our Global and Public Health division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the execution of high-impact, high-quality technical work programs that achieve sponsor mission-critical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and drive the division's technical quality program to deliver high-quality, high-impact technical products that represent MITRE's world-class technical mastery.
• Maintain awareness of the quality and impact of technical deliveries.
• Work across project teams to resolve quality issues.
• Help shape and develop division work programs and capabilities to provide effective, efficient, and innovative solutions to stakeholders and maximize value to sponsors.
• Coordinate technical outreach, partnerships, and engagements with industry, academia, and other stakeholders to ensure that best practices and innovative approaches are brought to bear on the division's work and products.

Requirements
• 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 10 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 7 years experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in support of HHS global and/or public health programs.
• Experience in the application and oversight of quality programs.
• Demonstrated ability to shape and drive high-impact, high-quality work programs.
• Agile and able to swiftly change direction, as needed.
• Empowers staff to take risks.
