About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our team at Reed. As a senior member of our Private Client team, you will be responsible for handling a comprehensive range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, and probate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client matters with accuracy and reliability, adhering to our quality and risk management procedures.
  • Generate fee income and maintain control over time recording, work in progress, billing, and cash collection in line with targets.
  • Engage in business development opportunities to promote the team and firm.
  • Provide supervision and support for colleagues' fee-earning work, particularly during absences and holidays.
  • Participate in marketing activities and maintain high standards of client care.
  • Manage the preparation of correspondence and documents through our case management system.
  • Handle filing and management of client files in accordance with office procedures.
  • Attend and participate in group meetings and develop new work from existing clients while seeking new clients.
  • Maintain and nurture a network of contacts and referrers, and promote the firm in professional and personal capacities.
  • Utilize IT and telephone skills appropriate for modern legal practice.
Requirements
  • Admitted as a solicitor, legal executive, or equivalent with at least 5 years of PQE in private client work.
  • Proficient in case management systems and standard office applications.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Efficient, reliable, with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and professional, able to use own initiative.
