Java Development Role Overview

This Java Support Engineer position involves working with a leading publishing client to deliver high-quality solutions using Java technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a client-facing role.

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Java-based solutions to meet client requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Maintain and improve existing Java codebases to ensure optimal performance and scalability
  • Develop and implement test plans to ensure high-quality software releases
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong experience with Java Message Service (JMS)
  • Familiarity with full SDLC methodologies
  • Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping tools such as JPA2/Hibernate
  • Experience with web frameworks like Spring
