Job Summary

Dr Mahbub's Surgery, Brace Street Health Centre, is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working independently, and making autonomous decisions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients independently, using your expert clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines, working in partnership with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide clinical support to colleagues, sharing your expertise and knowledge to enhance patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of policy and procedure within the surgery, ensuring best practice and patient safety.
  • Work flexibly, including additional hours, to cover holidays and sickness, and maintain active NMC registration.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.
  • Masters degree in Advanced Practice or equivalent qualification.
  • Postgraduate diploma or degree in Advanced Practice Qualification (up to December 2020).
  • Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber on the NMC register.
  • Experience of practice within the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research.
  • Job plan demonstrating advanced nursing practice and equity with peers working at this level.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Qualified triage nurse.
  • Minor illness qualification.
  • Teaching qualification.
