Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated veterinary professional to provide exceptional care to animals in a dynamic and collaborative environment at GLG Vets. As part of our growing practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while working closely with our team.
About the Role:
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of up to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will be expected to work standard office hours, with some flexibility required to accommodate emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
- Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
To succeed in this role, you will need a veterinary degree from a recognized institution and a valid license to practice in the UK. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team and independently. A compassionate and caring approach to animals is also vital.
