Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Recoveries team at Wilkin Chapman. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lawyers and clients by providing administrative assistance and ensuring the smooth operation of our cases.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: You will be responsible for managing a high volume of cases, including producing letters and emails, assessing each case to select the appropriate action, and preparing court issue and enforcement documents.
  • Client Communication: You will liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide excellent customer service and ensure that their needs are met.
  • Document Preparation: You will prepare and review documents, including court issue and enforcement documents, and ensure that they are accurate and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Negotiation and Monitoring: You will negotiate and monitor instalment pay offers and ensure that clients are kept informed of any changes or updates.
  • Reporting and Accounting: You will prepare and submit reports to clients and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: You will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a law firm or legal environment.
  • Administrative Skills: You will have excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Attention to Detail: You will have a high level of attention to detail and be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
